Exploring the Potential of Plastic through Hands-on Play

Commissioned by the V&A Waterfront to run the second instalment of the Innovation Station. This time around, the theme was "Ocean Plastic" and the event formed part of the Ocean Life Festival. The brief : Design a hands-on educational environment that can engage the public in the global problem of plastic waste in our oceans.

 

The final outcome took the form of a pop-up space celebrating innovative ways to rethink plastic waste. This included the build and demonstration of Precious Plastic Machine video content, a design exhibition of local products and an activity space.
