Dragon Park

DRAK KIOSKEN
Child-led placemaking for an abondoned park space
Joining the team at Lekkontoret (Children's Design Office). We worked with local after-school centers to explore child-led ideas for the park through hands-on workshops. The design of a dragon grill kiosk was born - a space for people to gather and cook on the fire! The kiosk has been built with youth designers from Rohsska DesignKlubben and children from the area. It’s become a key part of turning this abandoned park into a place for people to meet, build and prototype designs.
To open the park we hosted a Grill Party, planned with Designklubben young adult members. Together we served korv and ice cream to 250 members of the local community. People of all ages came to inaugurate the park - bringing their bicycles, scooters, basketballs and inflatable pools along.
Dragon park is now a cared for place with color, activity and the potential to expand with more community-driven design projects. The kiosk and grill will be used by DesignKlubben to host events, workshops and activities in the park.
